The OhioBev Board of Directors Meeting was held at the new Rumpke Waste Recycling state-of-the-art Recycling & Resource Center, and it is a remarkable facility. Our board members and guests enjoyed the opportunity to tour the 226,000 square foot facility, which processes 150,000-250,000 tons annually from nearly 50 Ohio counties.
The facility is essential to our industry and helps fuel the circular economy, with 80% of the recycled materials going to Ohio companies. The recycling center also prioritizes sustainability efforts in the community, such as educating the community with a fully functional educational center.
Rumpke partnered with COSI and Ohio State University to create an interactive exhibit and research center in the new facility, to further educate visitors on recycling.
